They can be used on top of your mascara, or without any mascara on bare lashes. To achieve the most pigment, dip a small brush into the mascara tube, and paint your lashes with the brush. This glitter is safe for the eyes, and there is no plastic. Easily remove it with a makeup wipe, micellar water, or any oil-based remover.

i got the silver shade and it’s absolutely gorgeous. applying it to your lashes with a brush is the best way to get maximum glitter but for everyday wear the spoolie works great. it stays on all day unless you cry, but then you have glittery tears and you can absolutely turn that into a look, so i see no downsides.
this glitter mascara is magical- i have taken naps, gone in southeast asian heat, and travelled 26 hours of flying with this mascara and it DOES NOT MOVE. this has survived choking on a banh mi, having my face shoved in a pillow, a storm, and even a car wreck. i will definitely be repurchasing this in more colors

The silver is stunning! I was struggling to coat my lashes so they gave me the advice that I could dip a brush into the tube and paint that on my lashes, which made a world of a difference. I love having sparkly eyelashes.
This mascara has me living out my manic pixie fairy dreams. The swatch photos were stuck in my head for days so I pulled the plug and bought one.
