Shipping policy

Processing & Shipping Time
  • Processing time: 1 to 3 business days (business days do not include weekends).
  • Shipping times:
    • USPS Standard First Class Mail: 3 to 5 business days.
    • USPS Express Mail: 2 to 3 business days.
    • International shipping: 7 to 21 business days.
Shipping Delays

Please note that shipping delays may occur due to holidays, weather conditions, or carrier-related issues.

  • If you need your order for a specific event, we recommend ordering in advance.
  • Sunset Makeup does not control carrier delivery times and is not responsible for late deliveries.
Shipping Methods

Orders are shipped via USPS from United States. International orders are handed over to the destination country’s postal service for final delivery.

Signature Requirement

For all domestic USPS orders over $200 and for any order we deem valuable or high-risk, a signature will be required upon delivery. This policy helps ensure that large or important shipments are delivered securely and successfully to the intended recipient.

International Orders & Customs Fees
  • Customs fees may apply depending on your country’s regulations. Sunset Makeup does not charge customs fees at checkout—any applicable fees are the responsibility of the recipient.
  • Once your package leaves the United States and clears customs, it is transferred to your country’s local postal service for final delivery.
  • International customers are responsible for monitoring their tracking information after shipment. Once a package arrives in the destination country, delivery updates, customs notifications, and payment requests are handled by the local carrier. We strongly recommend downloading the local postal carrier’s app and signing up for delivery notifications or informed delivery services to receive timely updates regarding customs fees, delivery attempts, or required actions. Failure to monitor tracking or respond to carrier notifications may result in delays, returns, or disposal of the package, for which we are not responsible.
  • To avoid delays, ensure your email and phone number are correct in your order, as mail carriers may need to contact you for customs payments before delivery.
Unpaid Customs Fees & Rejected Shipments

For international orders, if customs fees are unpaid or the package is rejected, UPS does not automatically return the package to the sender. Instead, the package is discarded unless the return shipping fee is paid by the customer.

In these cases, no refunds will be issued for orders that are rejected or for which customs fees go unpaid.

Address Requirements & Responsibilities
  1. Enter Your Shipping Address in English
    At checkout, enter your shipping address using English characters, as USPS cannot process orders written in other languages. If this is not followed, your package may be returned to our warehouse.
  2. Ensure Your Address is Correct
    Double-check that your shipping address is accurate and includes all relevant details (apartment number, correct abbreviations, street number, etc.). If an order is returned due to an incorrect address, you will need to cover the shipping fee for reshipment.
Order Changes & Cancellations

Orders cannot be canceled, refunded, or edited once they have been shipped.

Missing package

If you experience any delivery issues, first thing to do is the following:

  1. Verify Your Shipping Address
    Double-check that the shipping address on your order is correct. Some customers accidentally enter an old address during checkout.
  2. Check Around the Delivery Area
    Carriers may leave packages in unexpected spots, such as porches, side doors, garages, mailrooms, or with building management.
  3. Ask Household Members & Neighbors
    A family member, roommate, or neighbor may have accepted the package on your behalf.
  4. Contact Us and USPS Right Away
    We recommend calling your local USPS right away and emailing us at support@sunsetmakeup.com as soon as possible—just in case your order was delivered to the wrong address and USPS may still be able to retrieve it.

Orders shipped to package or freight forwarding addresses are not eligible for refunds if the tracking shows “Delivered,” but the package is later reported as not received by the forwarding company or the customer.

Please note that Sunset Makeup is not responsible for stolen or lost packages if the carrier determines that the order was delivered correctly.

Claim Window for Missing Orders

All claims for packages marked as delivered but not received must be submitted within 15 days of the delivery scan. Claims for packages lost in transit must be submitted within 60 days of the shipment date. Claims submitted after these timeframes cannot be processed and are not eligible for a refund or replacement.

We do NOT drop ship. We pack and ship orders from our warehouse in Orange County, California.
