Our bottles use a strawless pump—shake well and allow a few extra pumps on first use, tilting the bottle slightly to start the flow.

Not all colorful foundations are formulated for safe use around the eye area. For best results and safety, we recommend using our colorful concealers, which are specifically designed for eye application.
Temporary staining may occur. To reduce the amount of staining, follow these instructions: Begin with a small arm swatch to test it on your skin. For the face, start with clean, dry skin. Apply a generous amount of moisturizer and/or sunscreen to avoid dry spots from soaking up excess pigment. A hydrated base is essential. Barrier sprays on the market also exist as an added layer to the skin. The Colorful Liquid Foundation should be removed with an oil based remover. The most effective options are our Sunset Makeup “Hydrating Makeup Remover,” Vaseline, Baby Oil, and Coconut Oil on a cotton pad/makeup wipe. Exfoliate and cleanse the skin twice, or apply soap on a loofah to gently scrub the skin.

Foundation went in seamlessly, great coverage and did not stain my face. People were complaining at Halloween that their face paint sucked and I was bragging that I forgot my face was blue!
I dressed up as a wheeping angel for Halloween, the foundation was perfect, not greasy or heavy which was what I was looking for! The foundation applied beautifully and I used the light grey on not just my face but my chest and arms, then I went in with the dark grey for contour and shadow. I used an elf liquid bronzer & contour duo brush to apply with a stamping motion to blend as opposed to dragging it which provided an even coverage. I used both of the colorful foundations in the title along with the *light grey setting powder* the setting powder added more coverage and made the foundation as transfer proof as possible. Everyone that I came across asked me how I did it and said it looks very real. Not feeling like I was wearing a mask and forgetting I was practically covered in makeup was the best part—I can’t recommend this company enough!
I think that the pigmentation and formula for this foundation is so important and great to work with. The colour is very buildable and easy to apply, and doesn’t feel heavy or cake-y when you layer it like some creams or Halloween paints do- I did buy the purple, and with this one you really need to be mindful of where you’re placing it because the pigment has a strong pink base and stains like crazy. Fortunately, I had nowhere important to be with a bunch of hot pink streaks on my face and hands lol, but if you are considering painting yourself purple consider yourself warned against that. Otherwise, the formula is awesome and creates a beautiful rich colour with great blend-ability and very small areas of patchiness.
AMAZING coverage! I used this for my Nepeta Leijon cosplay. Doesn’t feel wet or too thick on my face. Bright pigment and most definitely water proof. Would recommend and buy again!! :)
I don't usually use foundation or lipstick, but this year my girlfriend and I went as clowns for halloween so I wanted a good foundation to try out! This stayed on perfectly all night, was very easy to apply and very lightweight unlike the heavy, greasy halloween grease paints they sell in stores. I was smoking drinking and crying all night and it still looked great. Gonna leave a seperate review for the liquid lipstick we used, but that looked really good all night as well even with no touch ups!

I have used colored face paints in the past and have never had a great experience, UNTIL I found SUNSET MAKEUP. It’s truly so inane to me how well the colored foundations work. They blend easy, stay crease free, and one bottle lasts so long. You could probably paint your whole body and still have a bunch to spare. It’s game changing. Thank you to the creator for making such a wonderful, affordable and accessible product. I will never be using any other brand of face paint. I’m genuinely shocked at how well the formula works.
I loved it! I got three powders, the light blue concealer and foundation, white concealer, light grey, dark blue and dark green foundation (darker colors for contour) my ONLY issue was i have oily skin and didnt know i should have used rubbing alcohol or something to remove the oils from my skin. Its also very forgiving, but every time id try to blend it would lift. 99% sure it was operator error and my skin was just oily. Overall the colors were beautiful, and lightweight. Id definitely buy again
My two friends and I used this for Halloween, and between the three of us it only took a third of the bottle. We had no problems with patching or dull color, everything was very lightweight and solid color! Very easy to wash off, and didn't stain our skin even after 4+ hours of wear.
Used about half the bottle to cover majority of my body. Felt very light weight and lasted over 7 hours. Was honestly scared of staining, but with cleansing balm, eye makeup remover, and a regular cleanser; you wouldn’t even tell I was completely pink.
11/10! Didn’t budge all night. Super buildable and easy to apply. When I did clean it off later, it did not leave behind any residue or break me out!
Such an amazing foundation! The coverage is a 10/10. It was super easy to apply, didn’t feel cakey at all, it anlso blended well with other foundations/ concealers, and the blue color is so beautiful!
It was my first time finding a good white face color. Everything you get from the store is so cakey or wet feeling after you apply or they Crack an hour into wearing. This write foundation and setting powder is a game changer for goth and Halloween make up. I even had my 9yo son touch my face after walking around for 45 minutes and nothing came off on his hand. I had to prove to him, that it wasn't going to rub off on him.
Ive already started doing makeup looks with the foundations and ive never loved my clown makeup as much as i do now with these foundations its so pigmented and it blends out so well i cant wait to do more halloween looks with them!!!!
i got the black and white colorful foundations and powders for goth/clown/corpse paint looks. tested last weekend! the makeup is lightweight. no cake, no grease, no transfer. a little rubbed off my forehead by the end of the night due to my user error…i didnt lay my wig very well. so so glad i got these and have already recommended to friends! a white base with sensory issues in mind is unheard of!

This is perfect for a cosplay and convention, no pealing, breakouts, or smudging. Though I tried three different makeup removers and cleansers, I am still tinted blue. I will use this again though, worked amazing!

If you're creative enough, this foundation can be used for so many purposes on the face and skin! I bought the purple bc I hadn't yet found the purple blush of my dreams but this is it! I also fiddled with it a bit and was able to apply it nicely as both eyeshadow and eyeliner and it works excellently for every use I tested it with. So in love with this product!!
