Achieve a soft look with our Pastel Colorful Foundations, available in 6 shades that provide high coverage while leaving your skin looking smooth, blurred, and soft all day long. Designed to hide texture and minimize the appearance of pores, this hydrating formula delivers a fresh, lightweight finish that feels comfortable to wear—never cakey or dry. No Fragrance.

Unlike traditional face paint, our pastel foundations are non-greasy and won't feel thick on your skin, making them the perfect choice for creating artistic or subtle pastel looks. For a long-lasting, transfer-resistant, matte finish, set your foundation with our translucent setting powder #9.

Shake well before use to help activate the pump.

Start with 3 full pumps for high coverage.

Not all colorful foundations are formulated for safe use around the eye area. For best results and safety, we recommend using our colorful concealers, which are specifically designed for eye application.

Temporary staining may occur. To reduce the amount of staining, follow these instructions: Begin with a small arm swatch to test it on your skin. For the face, start with clean, dry skin. Apply a generous amount of moisturizer and/or sunscreen to avoid dry spots from soaking up excess pigment. A hydrated base is essential. Barrier sprays on the market also exist as an added layer to the skin. The Pastel Colorful Liquid Foundation should be removed with an oil based remover. The most effective options are our Sunset Makeup “Hydrating Makeup Remover,” Vaseline, Baby Oil, and Coconut Oil on a cotton pad/makeup wipe. Exfoliate and cleanse the skin twice, or apply soap on a loofah to gently scrub the skin.

Vegan and cruelty free!

Pastel Blue Review

Love their colored foundation! I ordered their basic blue as well as the pastel blue and they were fantastic! Blended very well with each other. Would definitely recommend and buy again!

Best colored foundation

I used the pastel blue and white concealer for my Sally's cosplay and an avatar makeup test and it works so well with my skin you can make it as sheer as you want or build up a thicker base it's also good for anyone that has sensory issues with face paint

Great for my Kris cosplay!

I was super shocked this didn’t stain my face! I only tried it on for a couple hours but even then it still looked great!!

Phenomenal!

While I initially bought this for my upcoming Halloween look, I decided to test it for a local drag show.. I LOVE HOW WELL IT LAYS! It's such a good base to layer on and I am DEFINITELY getting more of this in various shades when I get the money.

Very good product

Used it with the dark purple setting powder and it stayed almost completely on for 8 hours while I sweated profusely at a con. Only issue was that I kept removing my glasses and it smudged off onto the nose pieces but honestly it was not a problem, just put some more on and it was fine.

Looks and feels great!!

I've never done my own makeup even normally, mostly because I dislike the way makeup feels on my face. But I wanted to cosplay a character with blue-toned skin, and this brand came highly recommended to me from several of my more talented cosplayer friends. I bought Colorful Foundation in Pastel Blue, as well as in normal Blue and Purple, and paired it with the Trippy Child Shadow Palette for contour and detail purposes. I have a long way to go when it comes to my personal skill and learning, but oh my GOSH this makeup genuinely rules. It felt great on my skin, which is crazy because I hate how everything feels on my skin, and the colors are so pigmented and great!! I mixed Pastel Blue, Blue and Purple to achieve my desired color, and added (my attempts) at contour and freckles with the aforementioned eye-shadow palette. For my first try, I was so happy with it, and so much of that is thanks to the quality and accessibility of this brand and these colorful foundations. I'm so happy with this experience that, if/when I finally buck up and try to learn how to do every day makeup, I will definitely buy foundation from Sunset Makeup, as it's the only makeup I've worn that doesn't make me feel uncomfortable with it on my skin!! What great products.

I’m blue (etc)!

I’m cosplaying Kris from Deltarune, specifically when they’re a beautiful little blueberry (Darkworld). That being said, I decided to test out Sunset’s colorful foundations/concealers/press powders, since I’ve been looking for an excuse to buy from this brand for a long time.

Suffice to say, after a quick make up test (minus mascara and contacts, I feel a little bald LOL), it is worth it! I used some blue shadows of my own to do some contouring, but the base is all Sunset and is *fantastic*.

My only note for the foundation was that I did have apply about 3 ish thin layers to even it out, but honestly, I blame most of that on my old-ish beauty blender. I feel like it’ll just take some practice and new tools to get used to applying a colorful foundation, so don’t be discouraged if it seems “blotchy” on the first coat — it’s just a learning experience.

The concealer was nice— slightly lighter than the foundation— but in the end, I felt like I could have just used an eye shadow for the same results. I would love a concealer shade somewhere between the pastel blue and the ‘basic’ blue. I’ll definitely still use this, though!

The press powder was great, no notes! Genuinely, really good product, highly recommend… it’s so soft. Also, the PACKAGING! Loved it, so clean!

Also important, because this is something the creator discusses a lot on their YouTube: I didn’t feel a single one of these products on my face when all was said and done. When they said lightweight, they MEANT light weight!
They are truly sensory friendly like I have never felt before in such a buildable formula.

Ramble over! This has sincerely made me even more excited to cosplay Kris! Thank you Sunset makeup for making such affordable, creative products!

Gave it three stars because I like the product itself, this is my third colorful foundation. But it is straight up greyish blue and not any kind of purple. I mixed it with a half pump of the normal purple colorful foundation and it looked perfect, but if I didnt already that that foundation it would not have worked for me.

Absolutely perfect!!! I needed the pastel blue foundation for my cosplay as "Coat guy" from "No I'm Not Human" and this shade was absolutely perfect! I just had to add a bit of white foundation but that was all.

Incredible customer service and great products!

I had questions about the product, and they went above and beyond to help me out. The products themselves are also of excellent quality. I ordered this pastel foundation and a purple mascara for a Twyla Boogeyman cosplay, and both were amazing. The foundation went on smoothly, and it didn’t feel like I was wearing anything on my face at all. The mascara was even better, it was honestly the best mascara I’ve ever used. It made my lashes long and separated just how I like them to be. I absolutely will be putting the same mascara in black on my Christmas list for everyday use.

Bought this for my draculaura cosplay and it was perfect! I also bought the pastel green for frankie and loved it as well. I have very sensitive skin and this did not break me out at all! It is not as opaque as the pictures so you’ll have to do a couple coats but it is very comfortable definitely recommend :)

Before of slight staining

I got the pastel blue and green, and they're absolutely lovely. The foundations feel amazing on the skin but they leave a small stain, but it comes off easy so do not worry.

I’ve been using the pink pastel foundation for my Monster High G3 cosplays, and my base is looking consistently flawless.

the BEST

I’ve tried all the competitors, I used to swear by Mehron until I tried Sunset Makeup. I bought all 6 of the pastels, and I am so happy with them! The coverage and durability are fantastic. They are actually long-lasting and stay through my oily skin. My cosplays are coming out so much better now.

Far better than the pastel purple counterpart. This stayed green.
The colorful foundations do smudge, transfer, this color does NOT stain skin. But It is not sweat proof! No matter how much setting powder and spray, it came off onto my boyfriend’s clothes, sweated away. Does not work well outside or on high-friction areas. Need multiple layers to cover hair or tattoos, which I anticipated. Luckily the color does not fade or change as it is worn through the day unlike the purples.
Probably better for regular, light make up usage rather than cosplay or body paint.

Between the normal purple and this, the lighter purple, this turned BLUE. It cannot handle sun or sweat. The foundations do smudge, transfer, thankfully this one does NOT stain skin. But it is not sweat proof! No matter how much setting powder and spray, it came off onto my clothes, my wig, and sweated away. It turned blue after all day wear. It also stained all my clothes near it blue. I looked like a ghost after the ren faire when I was supposed to be a drow/night-elf. I was incredibly upset when I finally got to look in a mirror and see how my originally purple face looked. The sun and sweat makes everything fade. Do not use it unless you are cold and indoors at the very least.
Probably better for regular, light make up usage rather than cosplay or body paint. And definitely not for all day usage, unless you enjoy the color it ends up as, which is powder blue.
