Black Lip Stain

Perfect for Warped Tour! Didn’t stain as much as I’d hoped but still loved it.

This brand was not joking when they said this was in fact a TRUE black lipstain! I have bought a few "black lipstains" from other brands and they would fade into some sort of blue but not Sunset Maleup y'alls! Also, those and many other brands would make my lips very dry for some reason, they'd start peeling off too (no matter the color) :/ however, this brand was NOT the case. The black lipstain would turn into a chromatic/shiny sort of color when leaving it on as is (without wiping it off), it looked amazing, in my opinion.

this works so well!! as soon as it was dry, virtually NOTHING came off with it, which was surprising considering my other lip stains leave a little bit of excess product on the tissue, NOT THIS THOUGH!! also it kinda smells like watermelon, yummie :]

For someone who loves being able to wear lipstick without the restriction of worrying about transfer this is good, but not necessarily great. Reasons being that even after a decent period of drying time I'm still seeing a small amount of transfer. Also, the scent, as someone who is pregnant and point blank usually just doesn't like scented makeup, it actually smells very good and makes me want to use it more just based on that fact alone. I give it a 4 out of 5 stars due to the fact the staining properties weren't I guess, what I was necessarily expecting (Expectation being dries instantly and zero transfer) nonetheless the product is great for the price tag. I will definitely be purchasing again once I run out, I think my issue was my expectations were too high based on the TikTok released on the product.

I like this lip stain and I’m really impressed with it. However, I’m still learning how to make it work better for me. It has minimal transfer after it has dried down for a long time, isn’t terribly drying on the lips, it’s pigmented and the formula is thick but buildable and not so thick that makes it feel cakey. My only problem is that I do need a few coats to make certain areas of my lips fully pigmented and it needs a lot of time to dry down and then you’re supposed to blot off excess pigment, but I found that doing that even after letting it dry for 10+ minutes, it removes a lot of the pigment :( The color after removing is an awkward purple shade. I do really like it regardless and for the price, it’s worth it.

Very nice product.
The application is smooth with a pleasant smell. It does take quite a while to dry and you have to use very light layering to get the deep affect you want with a black lip color.
Overall I like the product and would buy again. It looks great under a black lipstick or sheer lip gloss. Does get patchy if you apply it too thick. Does not make my lips feel dry. I wouldn't say its completely transfer proof, definitely some small smudges here and there.
There is an absolutely nasty taste if you accidently touch your tongue to your lips while its drying but overall I'm satisfied.

Not a stain, as it reactivates with water and your own saliva. I thought it might be slow to dry, as the site says five minutes, but I gave it fifteen, and it still reactivated.

it took so long to find a black lip product that's actually black, and i'm thrilled with how this stain looks! it barely moves even for hours after application, and it leaves no uncomfortable feeling on my lips like most stains/tints. it even smells amazing lol, will definitely be ordering again and looking forward to trying the lip liner stain with it next time!

Wears away quite quickly, and had a strange smell to it. Not sure if I bought these all at a bad time or if this was just a bad batch, but I was kind of disappointed after seeing so many rave reviews.

Not recommended. Waited the 5 minute period and immediately it came off. I gave it a second chance and waited 10 mins still immediately came off and turned blue

Just tried it out today and HOLY MOLY! I worked a 5 hour shift talking and eating and it hasn't faded a lot. It has faded some, but thats to be expected from a high movement area. Otherwise it's FABULOUS. I will be ordering again

This is great in coverage and application. I feel like this lasted my all day while being easy to apply and no weird taste. However it does have a hint of gray/blue. But overall Im happy with the product and would recommend

My favorite stain!

perfect affordable alternative to glisten cosmetics bayberry tint! i use a thin layer of the black and burgundy tint and rub together on my lips, leave for about a minute then wipe off. long lasting, doesn't come off when drinking but does a bit when eating. much more product and cheaper than glisten's! been wearing this everday. definitely recommend!

It rubs off fairly easily, especially due to sweat.

Sits well, not smudge or waterproof but it generally lasts.

I loooove the bats, the delivery was so smooth and fast. The bat stamp holds up to the hype and I will be using it for bat freckles.

Its not really a stain, more like a thin liquid lipstick that wipes off with water. Not worth the money in my opinion.

If anyone has had success with this product I’d love to know what im doing wrong, but I cannot make this last to save my life. I let it set for over an hour before eating, drinking ect and so much comes off with just a napkin. I’ve found it to smuge if I’m not careful and its very water sensitive, accidentally licking my lips or eating anything always takes off so much pigment. The stain that does get left is very faint and grey, but I do apreciate how its cool-toned, very lightweight and has a minimal but pleasant taste/smell. I was really hoping for a long-lasting stain because all of your products seem to be very high quality and made to last but I’m kind of dissapointed in how this stain has performed.

Didn’t really stain or stay on. Not sure if this is an overall problem or a personal problem, but it feels light and looks good while it lasts

I needed a black lip product, but I mainly got this for the stain power for cosplay/my hands. It works great for both!

I've bought this almost a year ago and another now because it's almost out and it's still amazing! I love how thin it is but it covers amazingly.

Goes on easily, cleans up easily, smells nice but it does come off easily when eating.
